ESET error message on macOS Big Sur - Solution
**** This has now been resolved by downloading the latest version of ESET Cyber Security *****
If you have upgraded your Mac to Big Sur and your ESET is warning you that you are not protected with the following error message:
"Your computer is not protected: System extension required for Web and Email Protection was not started because of error. Try to restart macOS or reinstall the product."
Please follow these steps for the current solution.
1. Go to the top left and click the Apple icon, then select System Preferences from the drop-down list.
2. Click Network
3. Select ESET Network Protection Proxy
4. Click Connect
This error will occur again after a restart or shutdown of your computer. ESET are currently working on a permanent solution and have said they aim for this fix late November/early December 2020.
