Today is Release Day
Is it though? All of the hype, all of the marketing and .....nothing!!!
Contact your Cloud Service Provider and there is nothing available for anyone unless you are 300 seats or more of office365 licenses. Even the Microsoft Blog, twitter feed, news websites seem to have a copy of only one article doing the rounds. It's not unusual to fail on a launch and fall on every promise they give but this one is truly a sh*t show in my mind as Partners and Clients, even CSPs are confused as to when and if it will ever be available and over here in the UK its even more confusing.

FAQs
Is it available in the UK?
According to the Microsoft blog, the initial markets for Copilot in Windows include North America and parts of Asia and South America. It is not yet available in the UK for less than 300 users or possibly anyone and the advice we have is that it's likely to be 12 months or more for standard business users
Mac Users: What About Compatibility and Windows 11 Focus?
Indeed, the initial release of Microsoft 365 CoPilot is primarily focused on Windows 11 systems. This aligns with Microsoft's strategy to tightly integrate its new features with its latest operating system to provide a seamless user experience.
For Mac users, this Windows 11-centric approach may raise questions about when or if CoPilot will be available for macOS. As of now, there is no explicit mention of Mac compatibility for Microsoft 365 CoPilot. However, given Microsoft's history of extending its services to Mac users, it's plausible that CoPilot could eventually make its way to Mac systems.
If you're a Mac user, it would be advisable to keep an eye on updates from Microsoft regarding this, especially as the company expands CoPilot's availability to other markets and platforms.
What's the cost? The current price is $30 per user per month, with a minimum of 300 seats, equating to a minimum investment of $108,000 per year. However, this price is subject to change and negotiation.
What are the licensing options?CoPilot is compatible with Microsoft 365 E5, E3, Business Premium, and Business Standard packages. It's an additional cost and won't be included in your existing package.
Conclusion
Microsoft 365 CoPilot offers a range of features that can significantly enhance productivity. However, it comes at a considerable cost and is not yet available for smaller clients or in the UK. Businesses should weigh the benefits against the costs and consider strategic deployment to maximise ROI, additionally you need to ensure that all files and folders (data) that is held in Microsoft is clearly marked for privacy levels as CoPilot will have access to anything and could possibly pull data from any of your sources to create reports, info etc that could be client facing (and possibly not the right client !!) ...big red flags everyone on this one...keep safe people.
